Fishing Leeches - Leech Fishing, Lifelike Artificial Leches - Slimers
|

Warning: Going into Canada for fishing? You cannot bring live leeches into Canada. Try artificial flesh bait leeches.

![]() I am a US fisherman who found one of the most unique and productive baits on a Canadian fishing trip in 2008. This artificial leech looks, feels and ripples like a live leech. There are many fake leeches on the market, but nothing like this product. It comes in a small capsule that fits easily into even a small tackle box. Each capsule contains 18 three inch leeches and requires no refrigeration. The leeches are packed in a salt solution that leaves a strong long lasting taste trail for walleye, bass, northerns, steelhead, crappie and other fish species. The most important aspect is how well this bait works. I wont give you any ramble on this –other than it is the best artificial bait I have ever used—which is why I decided to offer it to fellow fishermen. |

Due to sun conditions, water color/clarity and species preferences, the leeches are available in a variety of colors including black, white, pink and chartreuse. Black is universal but pink, for example, is another hot color for walleye and bass. Chartreuse is excellent for Northerns. White can be dyed using food coloring. Often times fishermen want a specific color like pumpkin green or a shade of blue. I usually experiment with colors in the kitchen sink ( when my wife is not home). Just get a spaghetti strainer and few small holding container to test out your color formulas. After adding drops of dye to one artificial leech in a small container, rinse the colored leech in the spaghetti strainer. Make sure it is cleaned out and put away before you wife comes home! |

Since few dealers carry this product, I supply this item to hundreds of U.S fishermen—many whom fish in the Great Lakes states/Provinces and adjacent states. I have been contacted by walleye and bass tournament pros who use this in U.S./Canadian tournaments—where live bait is not allowed. I supply U.S fishermen who fish Canadian waters—many are from IL, IN, IA, MN, WI, MO, NY, MI & OH. |

Fish love leeches but leeches become scarce during certain times of the fishing season. And Canadian Regulations prohibit U.S. fisherman from bringing live leeches into Canada.Having a ready supply of artificial flesh leeches, in your tackle box, is good insurance. I fish boundary waters in New York and I still prefer artificial flesh leeches. |
